It keeps giving me errors on most of the steps I'm pretty sure the best way to get a better score is to redo the whole lab, but it's not allowing me to start on a fresh page. So would I need to have a new account to redo the lab from the beginning?

Yes i’m cased like that it’s usually best to get a new account. You don’t have to redo everything tho. Just parts of 1b and 2a. And you don’t have to pay again. Email me at tim.hill@themaxlabsproject.com and I can help you more there.
