I am having trouble with importing the data for lab 2b, it would map all the fields but then wouldn't show up. I did exactly as the steps say to do but I am still not able to see the data. if there is any way to rectify this situation it would be greatly appreciated.
Help Forum
Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make it worse. There's a 95% chance the same snag/fix is listed & answered in the Help FAQ. But if you can't find it there, post your problem here.
Make sure you post in the right category below & be sure to include a screencap showing the issue!
Well what do you mean when you say it wouldn't show up? Do you mean you created the All Meeting Data listview in Steps 21-29 and it was empty?
If so, are the Pitch IDs on your Pitch records ranging from P-000 to P-009?
Please let me know those 2 things and then you can do these steps to give me access to your account so I can go in and see what's happening, ok?
Log in and click on the character icon (upper right) and click My Settings
Click My Personal Information (upper left) and then Grant Account Login Access below that
On the row for The Max Labs Project Support, use the --No Access-- pull-down menu to select 1 month and click Save
Then I will need your Salesforce Org ID so I can find your account:
Click the little gear at the top right and then select Setup.
On the lefthand menu go to Company Settings and under that, click Company Information.
In the middle panel, look down in the left column for Salesforce.com Organization ID and copy/paste that long string of numbers & letters and post it to me.
yes I created the all meetings data list view and the data that needed to be imported was not showing up. for the org ID do you want me to post it here?
Yeah, or you can email me the org ID at tim.hill@themaxlabsproject.com if you prefer
It's ok. I found your account by name.
Ok so when you're importing the Meeting records, they are looking for their matching Pitch records existing in the Pitch object. Each row of meeting data includes the Pitch ID for the record it goes with, from P-000 to P-010. But you deleted all your Pitch records for some reason. Not sure why. You need them.
But you can undelete them still. Go to the App Launcher but instead of picking Marketing from the list, enter "Recycle" in the slot and it will find the "Recycle Bin" for you and you can undelete those Pitch records. Then your Meeting import will work.
