In step 39 we were told to make the List Name "Seeing Triple" when I entered this name into the field I was given an error message.

Yeah, so it's telling you you already have a list view named "Seeing Triple" so you can't create another one with the same name. Just click on Pitch Everything to drop down the menu of list views and you'll see Seeing Triple listed there and you can click on it to view it and then edit it if you need to using the tiny gear as described in the instructions.
