I've been trying to set up my Salesforce account for quite some time, and it continues to load and even sometimes crash as a website in whole.

Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, eg. uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make things worse.

Have you tried a different browser? Have you been able to get the account at all, like do you have a username and password now? Can you try a different computer? You’re using a VPN or some sort of app blocker on your computer let me know?
