How to Create/Correct Your Workflow Rule

The Workflow Rule (Steps 34-57) is what automatically adds the "email to ask about calling" task to your leads. You need that rule (with all the correct settings) to make that task show up on his Activity history timeline as shown in the last screecap at the bottom of Lab 3b. To fix this, first you need to delete the Miles Dyson Lead record, then create the Workflow Rule, making sure the settings are right, and then add the Miles Dyson Lead record again to trigger the rule:

  1. Go to App Launcher > Marketing > Leads and click Recently Viewed (upper left) to pull down and select All Open Leads and then find the row for Miles Dyson and click the down arrow on the far right end of the row & select Delete

  2. In the popup, click the blue Delete button to confirm

  3. Do Steps 34 and 35 to bring up the list of existing Workflow Rules, if there are any already

  4. For any/all rules you see there, click Del on that row, under the Action column on the left and then click OK in the popup to confirm and delete

  5. Do Steps 37-57 to create/re-create the Workflow Rule, making sure you get all the settings correct

  6. If you didn't already create the myweb2lead.html file (or if you did but it's not working right just delete it and then) do Steps 89-98, 104, and 107-129 to create/recreate it making sure you get everything right this time

  7. Do Steps 130-137 to add the Miles Dyson Lead record

  8. When you're ready, re-grade by using the App Launcher to open the Grader App and follow instructions to run the scoring routine again and then be sure to reload the page to see the updated error list & grade certificate
