I was working on simulation 1b, purchased the package, and followed all steps carefully. However, on step 18, when directed to select “Pitches” in the “Available Tabs” box, “Pitches” does not appear. I scrolled all the way down under “Libraries”, and “Pitches” is nowhere to be found.

No, I can't look you up by that. When you signed up for your Salesforce account you gave a first and last name. I need that or else your Organization ID in your account. Here's how to find & send that if you'd rather give me that:
Click the little gear at the top right and then select Setup.
On the lefthand menu go to Company Settings and under that, click Company Information.
In the middle panel, look down in the left column for Salesforce.com Organization ID and copy/paste that long string of numbers & letters and email it to me at tim.hill@themaxlabsproject.com

Not sure why that's not showing up. Maybe try logging out, closing your browser and then re-opening and logging back in. If that doesn't fix it, do these 3 steps and let me know when they are done. They will allow me to access your account and find & fix the issue:
Log in and click on the character icon (upper right) and click My Settings
Click My Personal Information (upper left) and then Grant Account Login Access below that
On the row for The Max Labs Project Support, use the --No Access-- pull-down menu to select 1 month and click Save
