I started working on this lab last night and I created a salesforce account as instructed. I made it down to step 74 before I decided to take a break. When I wanted to start working again, I tried to log in, but it said my account did not exist, even though I have the verification email and I spent over an hour on an assignment using that account. I even tried using the direct link that is included in the verification email, but it still did not work. My assignment is due today so I decided to just make another account and do the work. I created a separate account and got all the way to step 84 where you download the app. I tried to log in, but once again, it says the username and password are incorrect, and when I try "forgot password" it says my username is not registered. I do not know what I am doing wrong, but figuring this out is pretty crucial to my grade, so any help is welcome, thank you.

Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, eg. uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make things worse.

Hmm...so you're saying that jalen@hurts.com is the username that you set when you filled out this form:
and it had you set up a pw and a security question but it was not that question about the city you were born in?
If so, that's very strange. Maybe we can Zoom and you can share your screen so I can see what you're doing? I will be home in about an hour so could do it like at 1:30pm Pacific time if you want? I have to teach from 4pm-7pm but could do it after that but that's like 10pm your time, I think?

Hmm... maybe this is a different issue then. Are you sure you're going to the link given in Lab 1a to get the Developer Edition version of the SF account?
I just created a different gmail, and the same problem happened with the security question. Should I try creating a new email on a different platform? Yahoo or Microsoft?

I am trying to create a Sales Force account. When I click the verification link in my email, it beings me to a security question page. However the question being asked is not the security question I answered when creating my account. Not sure how to get past this and access my account. Have a good day.
Sorry to hear this, Olivia. It sounds really frustrating. Occasionally students report that SF is rejecting their pw and won't send the "forgot pw" email - it sometimes get caught by the email service spam filters. But not having SF tell them the account doesn't exist. That's weird. Maybe something weird is going on with SF right now, but I haven't heard anybody else say so.
I guess for now, just try getting a new account again and try to get down to Step 99 at least so you can get your deliverables submitted. And if you get stuck again, can you try capturing the error messages and posting them here so I can get a better sense of what's happening?
