How to Add Missing Field to Any Object

If you need to add a missing field to any object:


  1. Click the Setup gear (upper right) and select Setup

  2. Click the Object Manager tab (not the down-arrow) on the upper left, next to the Home tab, and select the object you need to fix (Pitch, Meeting, Meeting Attendance or Lead) from the list in the central panel

  3. Click Fields & Relationships on the left-hand vertical menu

  4. Click New

  5. Use the steps in the lab instructions to create the new field with the proper settings and be sure to click Save at the end

  6. If you had existing data records for this object, you may need to add data to them in the new field you just added by using the App Launcher to get to the Marketing app and then hitting the relevant tab (e.g. Pitches) & clicking on records to open them and add data into the new field and Save

  7. Re-grade by using the App Launcher to open the Grader App and follow instructions to run the scoring routine again and then be sure to reload the page to see the updated error list & grade certificate
