If I choose "salesforce platform" for User License instead, then there is no other option for Profile except "standard platform user" and not "contract manager". How do I fix this problem?


Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make it worse. There's a 95% chance the same snag/fix is listed & answered in the Help FAQ. But if you can't find it there, post your problem here.

Are you sure you have a Developer Edition account? Did you get a 30-day free trial instead?

@Vy Truong When you got your account, did you follow the link and instructions given in the lab or did you go to. www.Salesforce.com and get a free 30-day trial account?
@Dr. Tim, Max Labs Director I remember using the link and instructions given in the lab when making my account and also paying the $20 later on.
Ok, do these 3 steps to give me access to your account and I'll take a look:
Log in and click on the character icon (upper right) and click My Settings
Click My Personal Information (upper left) and then Grant Account Login Access below that
On the row for The Max Labs Project Support, use the --No Access-- pull-down menu to select 1 month and click Save
I've just granted you access!
I see it. You already created two users for. yourself with the "Salesforce" license. Each account only gets two. I don't know why you have two for yourself. You need to delete this one:
Truong, Vyvytruongvy.k.truong@sjsu.edu
and then you'll be able to create the Riley one according to the isntructions.
