As I attempt to login to SF and request a new password, it will send me a link after I click on this link it then sends me back to the same page I was on to request a new password, yet again.
After contacting developers I was given a new promo code for an account, as I registered for a new account I was given an account with no password after using the verification link. Following the link I then attempted to use forgot password and see If I was able to make a new password for the account. Then the same problem occurred where I would click on the reset password link and I would be sent back to the previous page.
Sorry, I can't quite figure out what you're saying but it sounds like you're unable to log into your Salesforce account and the "forgot password" process isn't working for you? That does happen sometimes. Only Salesforce has control over those logins and they don't guarantee support for this type of account since it's free anyway.
If that's the case, you need to get a brand new Salesforce account by going to that link from Lab 1a and submitting the form again. You can provide the same email address but your Username needs to be different since the old account is still in existence with that previous Username. In Salesforce, Usernames can be anything that LOOKS like an email address, even if it's not a working address. For example, hippo@suitcase.sauce would work, assuming it's not already taken.
Then with your new account you can dive right into starting Lab 3a. You don't have to redo the previous labs.
