The subject of the email I received was ''Distant'' rather than "New Distant Investment Lead"

Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make it worse. There's a 95% chance the same snag/fix is listed & answered in the Help FAQ. But if you can't find it there, post your problem here.
Make sure you post in the right category below & be sure to include a screencap showing the issue!
Ok, well that's easy to fix. Just go back to Setup and then Email and then Classic Email Templates and then open up that template to edit it and fix the subject line and save it.
Then to get the new email, enter the Sarah Conner lead again, using Steps 102-111 and that will trigger a new email to be sent using the corrected template with the fixed subject line.
You'll wind up with 2 Sara Conner leads but that's ok -- it won't hurt anything or you can delete one if you want.
