when creating an account it never gave me the option to create a password, it brought me straight to the login in page. When I made an attempt to reset my password it asked me a security question, that I didn't have an answer because I never got to setup my account. How can I fix this issue and actually setup my account

Sorry you're stuck but there's almost always a pretty easy fix! Do NOT try to start all over again, eg. uninstall Max's Pitch Package, etc. That can make things worse.

Yes, that happens when the email system you're using has a security utility like Safelinks installed that is checking all links in every email first, before delivering it to you in your inbox, to make sure those links are all legit and not malicious/harmful. When it does that to the Welcome email from Salesforce, it "uses" that verification link before you even see it and then the password gets set to something random. By the time you see it in your inbox, it's already set and there's no way to know what it was.
SO..you need to use an unmanaged email address, where there is no system administrator who is running Safelinks on your messages. Try getting a free Gmail email and accessing it through the browser, like www.gmail.com rather than thru Outlook or some client on your laptop. Then when you get the Welcome message from Salesforce, and you use the link, you will be using it the first time and it will let you set the pw and the security question, ok?
