Hello,

I’m following up on my previous post about the missing Lab 1a Pitches records. Earlier, I accidentally deleted my Pitches from Lab 1a, then restored them following the recovery instructions.

However, even after re-importing the data, my Pitch Everything list view (screenshot attached) only shows manually created records (P-025 → P-034) instead of the original Lab 1a records (P-000 → P-009).

Because of this, the Max Labs Grader app still shows that my pitches are wrong and I’m only getting 32/50 on Checkpoint 1, even though I completed all required steps.

Could someone please help me fix this issue or confirm if there’s a specific import file or step needed to properly restore the Lab 1a pitch records?

Yeah, your Pitch records definitely look messed up. Computers are super-picky so you really have to take the time to read and follow the instructions or things will get messed up and take way longer to fix in the end, like this.

So at the start of Lab 1b, the first 4 steps tell you to delete the Pitch object that you made in Lab 1a. That is so that you won't confuse it with the new Pitch object that gets put into your account when you install Max's Pitch Package. Then after you install Max's Pitch Package you have the new empty Pitch object and you import the 10 records into it. They should be numbered P-000 to P-009.

In your screencap, it looks like you are showing the correct new Pitch object, from Max's Pitch Package, but somehow your number is way off. It appears you imported multiple times and also deleted and/or added other records because it's not even a multiple of 10. Like if you just did it 3 times, then the records would be numbered P-000 thru P-029. Not sure how you got it to that point but, once the ID numbers get assigned, there's no good way to fix them.

But the correct 10 records are there and you can go on to Lab 2a that way so the grader should only take off 10 pts for that. If you give me access to your account, I can give you back the 10 points the grader is taking off for that, np. But there are other mistakes there too if it is taking off 18, so you will need to fix those yourself or accept the score that way.

So first fix the other errors, as much as you want to, and then give me access and I'll add back the 10 pts for the wrong Pitch IDs. For that, do these 3 steps so I can access your account. Let me know when you've done them, ok?

Cant find "Deleted Objects" under Objects for Lab 1a

I cant get any score and when i try to restore the lab 1a pitch object, i cant seem to get across point 5 (In the central panel that appears, click on Deleted Objects). I cant find deleted objects under object. Can someone please tell me how to make this work. This is frustrating.
